Join us for our Annual Meeting with a review of business from 2023 and Board of Directors elections. The meeting begins with a Salon presentation, “Fairy Tales & Astrology” by Shane M. Nygaard:
“I was driven to ask myself in all seriousness: ‘What is the myth you are living?’ I did not know that I was living a myth, and even if I had known it, I would not have known what sort of myth was ordering my life without my knowledge…I simply had to know what unconscious or preconscious myth was forming me.”
Carl G. Jung, CW 5:xxiv-xxv
As Jung observed, we all live some kind of myth, whether consciously or unconsciously. Sometimes we find we’re even living a Fairy Tale! Do you have a favorite Fairy Tale? Are you living your favorite Fairy Tale? Once upon a time I worked with a woman whose favorite Fairy Tale was “Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs,” and she was the one female executive in an organization with seven other male executives. Symbolically, she was living her favorite Fairy Tale!
Fairy Tales, their characters and storylines are part of collective consciousness. So, too, are the astrological signs and planets. As the interactions of the characters in Fairy Tales create wonderfully complex and enchanting stories, the movements of the planets also reflect such stories. In “Astrology & Fairy Tales” we’ll look into how Fairy Tales appear in an astrological birth chart and how these enchanting stories can be animated in our lives. Whether we’re on our way to grandmother’s house, climbing a giant beanstalk, or anticipating the clock striking midnight, each story has its particular correlation to the astrological signs, planets, and houses. Join us for this look at the intersections of Fairy Tales and Astrology!
