Announcement
Dear friends & supporters of Gris Literatura, it is with immense sadness & heavy grief that I must report we have lost one of our own – Andrea Grace Halverson.Andrea was a rare & beautiful soul, and was a fervent & loyal supporter of Gris Literatura and its programs. It is then only right that we, in collaboration with others touched by Andrea’s infectuous spirit, invite you to a Memorial of her & her life.
In Memoriam: a Gathering to Celebrate the Life of Andrea Grace Halverson
You may recall Andrea from her performances as Hyacinth Wilde at the Troubadour Wine Bar, often after our Poetry Happy Hour on Sundays. In fact, her first peformance there was during one of our open mics. Easily likened to Kate Bush with her voice & pianistic virtuosity, her free-ranging compositions defied expectations, much like mid-period Joni Mitchell, while her subject matter often reflected the darkness of PJ Harvey or Portishead. Her one great love, though, was always Leonard Cohen. Her instinctive sense of empathy also made Andrea a gifted astrologer & tarot reader – you may recall her from her participation in our Reading Roundtable on Poetry & the Esoteric Arts.
Andrea had also travelled extensively, spending time in Sweden, Italy, Belgium, Poland, France, Serbia, Morocco, as well as her second home, Spain.
So please come and celebrate the life of this incredible & most treasured human being – Sunday August 25th, 1pm Central, online at Zoom:
